Ok, so I can’t get this beer out of my head. Here’s a bit more information on it:
Hollister is a brewpub located in Goleta, CA, which is just outside of Santa Barbara. Looks like they’ve been open for little over a year, although two of the three owners have backgrounds in brewing (at the Santa Barbara Brewing Company). Their website unfortunately doesn’t include any information on their beers, but from what I can gather from Beer Advocate and Rate Beer, The J is brewed with organic hemp seeds and smoked malt, and everyone who’s rated it on those two sites has noted it’s bacon-like flavor.
Mmmm. bacon.
