Sometimes it’s all in the details. Last week, it was love at first site when I came across an ad for Thomas Keller’s Bouchon. This time, though, it wasn’t about the food–although I can’t wait for the opportunity to visit the restaurant. It was about the design. I was instantly smitten with the font used in the logo, and I set out to find out what it was.
In the midst of my (short-lived and unsuccessful) search, I came across this delightful website: Jules Vernacular (no, not jewels and binoculars). The site is simple and elegant, a photoblog capturing nothing but typefaces. Whether you’re hit with a bout of wanderlust, or are itching for a good dose of aesthetic glory, take a moment to visit Jules Vernacular to view the world through the eyes of type designer Jack Usine.
